Lats Deck keeps pairing on your iPad. It talks only to a Mac you approve, and only over your local network.

Who this covers

This policy covers the Lats Deck iPad app, published by Arach Tchoupani. Lats Deck is a companion for the Lattices menu bar app on a Mac (lattices.dev). There is no Lats account and no sign-in.

The website at lats.dev does not run analytics or advertising, and it does not send the contents of its forms to a server.

What stays on your iPad

Pairing keys are stored in the iPad Keychain. Records of Macs you have trusted are stored in the app’s preferences on the device. Those records include the Mac name, its public key and fingerprint, the capabilities you granted, when you paired, and the last host and port the app used to reach that Mac.

The app includes no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. Version 1.0 has no in-app purchases. The developer does not collect data from the app.

When data leaves your iPad

Lats Deck discovers the Lattices app with Bonjour on the local network and then talks to it over local HTTP. It does not use a Lats server for that connection.

Pairing requires an explicit approval on the Mac. After you pair, protected requests are signed and their payloads are encrypted. The traffic is commands and status for the companion: deck actions, trackpad input, screen preview when you have granted it, and the voice text described below.

Voice

Lats Deck does not use the iPad microphone. The app does not ask for microphone or speech-recognition permission, and it does not record audio.

Voice works like this. You choose a paired Mac and tap the microphone control. The iPad sends a command to that Mac over the local connection. The Mac opens its own microphone. Nothing is recorded until that tap. A second tap tells the Mac to finish the turn. The iPad then receives the transcript and the reply text over the same local connection and shows them on screen.

Lats Deck does not send audio or that transcript to the developer. Capture and transcription happen in the Lattices app on the Mac. This policy does not describe what Lattices does with audio after the Mac microphone opens.

Device permissions

The only system permission Lats Deck requests is Local Network, so it can discover and connect to your Mac. You can change that in Settings → Privacy & Security → Local Network. In that list the app may appear as Lattices Deck.

The app does not request the camera, photo library, microphone, speech recognition, contacts, or tracking permission.

Accounts, tracking, and children

There is no account to create, and no profile stored with the developer. Lats Deck does not sell personal information and does not track you across other companies’ apps or websites. The app is not directed to children under 13.

If you email support, the developer receives the message you send, including your email address and whatever you write. That message is used to answer you.

Retention and deletion

Pairing keys and trusted-Mac records remain on the iPad until you remove them or delete the app. In Lats Deck, open Settings and tap Forget on the Mac’s row to remove that Mac’s trust record from the iPad. Disconnect ends the live session and does not by itself remove the saved trust record.

The Mac keeps its own copy of the pairing until you revoke it in Lattices → Settings → Companion. The developer has no server copy of your pairing, commands, or transcripts to delete.

Changes

This policy may be updated as Lats Deck changes. The effective date above will change when the policy changes materially.
